- A New York City pimp is headed for up to nine years in prison after prosecutors said he psychologically and physically abused a prostitute he controlled. She ultimately turned on him when he tried to get custody of the child they had together.
- Lamont Brunson was sentenced Wednesday to three to nine years in prison. The 33-year-old pleaded guilty last month to sex trafficking.
- The Manhattan district attorney’s office says the woman became a prostitute at age 12 and met Brunson about five years later. Prosecutors say he once dragged her up several flights of stairs because she was in a park while he wanted her to be selling sex.
